KEITH Duffy is set to take part in a mammoth 444km charity cycle around Ireland with dozens of supporters on June 24.
The big-hearted pop star heaped praise on the organisers of the Cycle 4 Causes initiative, which will benefit four charities, including his own special project Irish Autism Action.
“I want to thank everyone involved for Cycle 4 Causes for their wonderful support for Irish Autism Action in raising €13,500 last year,” he explains.
“I remain in awe of people who, even in these difficult times, can still think of other people in need.
“The support our charity receives makes a great difference to families affected by autism.
“Autism, as many will know, has touched my own family and I am pleased to say that my own daughter Mia has made great strides with the support that she has received through Irish Autism Action.”
Other charities benefiting including Inner City Helping Homeless, Friends of the Coombe and My Canine Companion – Autism Service Dogs.
One of the organisers, James McDermot, from Sheriff Street, Dublin, says he is “delighted” to have Keith on board.
